Loretta
L. Peabody, a
beloved Sunfield library pioneer, for whom the library's Loretta L.
Peabody Memorial Local Historical
Collection is
named. The Peabody collection features
Sunfield Sentinel newspaper microfilm and hard copy archives, back to
its
beginning in 1896, as well as some local family histories,
funeral home
records, and other valuable genealogical materials donated by
the Sunfield
Historical Society, which meets weekly at the library, on
Wednesdays. The
library has a state-of-the-art, online, microfilm reader
printer and many
other items of interest to local history and genealogy buffs.
Please call
the library during open hours for more information about access to the
