Family History Center Microfilm Loan Program

The Van Buren District Library Local History Collection (LHC) in Decatur has been designated as a licensed microfilm loan center by the Family History Center (Church of Latter-Day Saints) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Like hundreds of other sites around the world, library patrons now have millions of genealogical and historical records on microfilm available for loan to the LHC in Decatur.

Microfilm are ordered 1-2 times per month and remain in the library for a 30-day loan period. The cost to patrons is the $5.50 per reel loan fee charged by the FHC

All microfilm are available for public use during the 30-day period, however, the ordering patron has first priority.
