Fiero Code: Three New Webinars and TLN Discounted Statewide Pricing
TLN has scheduled three additional Fiero Code webinars for Michigan public libraries:
- Thursday, June 13 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m
- Wednesday, June 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m
- Thursday, June 20 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
TLN has negotiated statewide discounted pricing with Library Ideas, LLC for Fiero Code. Intended for both simultaneous use remote access and in-library access for ages eight through adult – patron authentication can be via either barcode prefix or SIP2 – Fiero Code provides patrons with the STEM opportunity to learn how to build video games, websites and apps through 13 coding languages and devices.
A free, 30 day, library staff only, trial of Fiero Code is available upon request. The TLN negotiated discount is 20% . This includes free access to international coding competitions, for which there is normally an additional charge. Please note that we must have a minimum of 10 libraries statewide to sign up for Fiero Code by July 31 , 2024 in order for the 20% discount to take effect.
